The third edition of the IFPRI Sudan Conflict Conference will take place on 14–15 April 2026 in Cairo, Egypt.
The conference will convene researchers, policymakers, development partners, and practitioners to examine the evolving impacts of Sudan’s conflict and to advance evidence-based pathways for resilience, recovery, and policy action. The program will feature new empirical findings, policy dialogue, and forward-looking discussions aimed at strengthening coordinated responses in fragile and conflict-affected settings.
A central highlight of this edition will be the official launch of IFPRI’s forthcoming book, War and Resilience: The Multifaceted Impacts of Sudan’s Conflict and Pathways to Recovery, which synthesizes recent evidence and offers practical policy directions for recovery and long-term transformation.
Formal invitations, registration details, and the preliminary agenda will be circulated shortly.
