As part of its broader engagement in Sudan, IFPRI is conducted a suite of studies on wheat value chains in Sudan. There are four major components to this project which aims to identify short and long-term inefficiencies affecting the wheat value chain. These four integrated components provide a holistic understanding of the landscape around wheat value-chains and pathways to greater wheat market efficiency in Sudan:
1) What are the constraints and opportunities of key wheat supply chain actors? (Forthcoming)
2) Evaluating cereal market (dis)integration in Sudan
3) Distributional consequences of wheat policy in Sudan: A simulation model analysis
4) Political economy of wheat value chains in post-revolution Sudan
A policy note also provides a synthesis of results.
